Went to a shop - in the beautiful city of Bath, here in England. Was looking at Cornell amps, when I saw this thing for sale......

It's a 1970....Original purple covering and totally clean inside..... do I want it? Yes I do!!! But the finances say "No". Or rather, "Non!!!", if you catch my drift?

Sounds a but hefty to me - £1k a bit more like it?

Fool that I am (no reference to your excellent axe intended) I bought a marshall 50 bass head for £250 from a friend and used it as a guitar amp for a bit. I then sold it back to the same friend for the same money. Last I heard of it was in a shop with a £850 price on it (about two years ago).

    Mind you it wasn't purple....................

    Alternatively....should the Mood take you?
A quick stroll down a well known London Street whilst singing a lusty chorus or two of "Den Marks, Den Marks, Oh Den Mark's Treat" will also provide One with hours of Glee. In "their" Shop (??????) One will rub shoulders with all manner of Self Opinionated Experts. Well worth a Visit....especially if armed with a Suitable Object Hitting For The Use Off !

They are world famous for, shall we say, making grown men cry, the world over ..... on the roof up the rear stairway one can look out the window and see parts ER,... ageing! I've heard they have a network of "gifted craftsmen" making, I mean restoring, I mean putting together, I mean .... never mind ... vintage treasures ... Hight up London sources are wonderful to have ;)

disclaimer: names have been changed to protect the guilty! ;D

These "Craftsmen" of which you speak? ;)
Would these be the very same "Craftsmen" that Crashed a Funeral of a reasonably well known Guitarist and thrust a Business Card into His Widow's Hand during the Service?

    Oh Surely Not? ;)

I always thought the Tin Bath and Tin Pan R&V people were ok if a bit bullish with their pricing? Funeral story? Please PM, no names, no packdrill.

    Honk honk
