I kept them. It’s a special guitar, belonged to my dad and was the guitar I started on, so I want to keep all the parts.

Does the middle pickup get in the way of your picking?
That bugs me on Strats, always have to set the middle one pretty low...
I used this into the dirty and clean channels of a Mesa Electra Dyne head and Recto 2x12 or Trad 4x12.

Also, the walnut-looking finish on mine used to be a lot more cherry/red looking. You can see it when you take off the tailpiece.

At first I tried it with the screws facing the pickups, like my 335, but was getting notes fretting out on bends on the B string. Flipped it...

Crazy thing is, I actually owned this exact LP Special five years ago! (Not the same model, the same actual guitar.) I traded it in...
So, reporting back a year later. :)
Now all Gibson, and the missing P90 element has been taken care of. :cool:
