Hmm, pretty sure a '63 shouldn't have a sideways trem and Les Paul TRC...
Looks like 9990.00 Euros is about $11,200.00
Having a Sideways Trem on a '63 does seem odd, maybe this one is an early '63 using leftover parts. I cannot read the pot codes in the photos.
I wonder if the tuners were replaced at some point in time. This one has Single Ring Klusons. I thought Double Ring Klusons were used for this era SG Standard? Poker chip is also missing.
True, it's possible. The heel looks like a '62 though. But it has PAT #s... wish we could see the pot codes.
The ad says the tuners have been replaces. The stock ones would have been double ring.
Love the faded fin(n)ish, just the right tone.
Oh wow, never imagined seeing this here. That SG has been on sale at Kitarakuu forever, and for that price and the somewhat dodgy specs I don't wonder. The only thing that has changed recently is the description of those drilled and plugged holes at the side. For the longest time they were a mystery, but now it says they once held a leather padding. I wonder where that new info is from, did they find the original owner or something?
That is a beautiful, but compromised and overpriced, guitar. It's just not discounted enough for changes that it shows. But what a beautiful color! Looks like someone left it out in the sun for a few months.
The smooth neck heel makes it look like a 61. That would also make sense with the sideways trem.
Expensive but impressive!!
