Makes life easier if you ever decide to do coil splitting etc.

I shouldn't have to ask, but you did connect the cavities, right?

Nice tight cavity, good day with the soldering iron. Soldering is a work of art, not saying I'm a pro by ANY means. But I think I got it down pretty well. Took me a LONG time to even get this close. It's all about Tinning, The right heat and tool, and patience. Less than half of this harness was pre wired, probably have about 25 good licks with the iron on this one. And by the way CLOTH is KING when it comes to wiring, IMO! Haven't even put the pick ups in yet.

I did mine with a couple short pieces of solid buss wire that I bent like a staple and soldered to the shield. It'll stay in place regardless of what I do pickup wise.

You must not have tried silicone insulated wire yet. That stuff blows cloth away. Then again, I'm a nontraditionalist.

Getting sexier by the minute! My goal....Make a 2013 SGJ that is ONE OF A KIND! Trust me, you will never find another one like this when I'm done. Headstock work coming up!!! My intentions are NOT to make something "fake" , my intentions are to make a guitar that plays SO WELL (The SJG's play like a dream), EXACTLY how I want it!

As a matter of fact, the head stock will wind up looking like this. My personal choice of how a Gibson head stock should look. it will take me probably 12-15 coats of clear-wet sanding on top of these to bury these MOP inlays, but I will do it, and it will look KILLER when I'm done. I really dont want to hear any crap about faking this, or faking that. I am making a guitar FOR ME, and ONLY me, the way I want it to look. It will stay with me until the end! This also a lesson on how easy some IDIOTS can take advantage of someone wanting a SG. NOT my intent at ALL, but they are out there.

I don’t see anything fake about it.
    It's a Gibson SG.
The TV Yellow finish looks awesome.

Thank you pal. This is probably the last forum in the country where you can change something to suit your tastes, and not just get totally lambasted for it.

Looks great, not sure why you'd want to replace the 61 zebra pickups since they truly rock but otherwise nicely executed finish. Along with P90s they are my favorite gibson pickup by far.
