brought over from the old shed. cuz its coolio.
thanks pearly gator
Do that mod (#2 and #3 give the same result BTW). Now roll off a little treble and turn down the volume just a little... omg where'd the volume go????
When you do that mod, the cap no longer references the full signal, but instead references a signal in series with a resistor, thats also got a resistor shunted to ground (ie, pot at less then full volume). The resuly is monsterous loss of volume when the tone control is applied at less than full volume.
Not optimal at all.... Lags one might be the best IMHO
cool. just testing.,
but that diagram IS the '50's tone mod' though is it?? :?:
I tried that 50's mod and went back to the stock wiring.
I lost my powers.....Holy kryptonite Batman...
hmm. wonder why some peeps like it so.?
I suppose if I put the pups from my Flying V or Explorer into my SG I might like the bleed down....
gotya spunk. cool
Never cared for a volume drop when I used my tone control.....I don't want to change the volume when I use the tone....I figure that's what the volume control is for in the first place!
just like plumbing! :)
You rang Spunky ?
