61 reissue with ABR and nickel hardware?

    Mmmm... That's where the Sweetwater/Dave's limited run was different - at least mine is. I've got both chrome and nickel Gibsons and this one is definitely nickel.

    ... just a little sidenote and a bit of ittle self-correction here, regarding the '61 trussrod covers.

    Ahem: According to the SG Guitarbook (which I've have had for 3 whole days ..) :
    In 1961 the trussrod cover on the Standard read "Les Paul". For the other new, redesigned "Les Pauls", the Junior, TV, Special and the Custom (which of course had "Les Paul CUSTOM" on the pickguard), the TRC was black.

    And the "SG" trussrod cover, with a smaller lettering, showed up for the first time on the '74 Standard it seems. (Hope the author forgives me) 20190127_143305.jpg
