Took it all apart, cleaned and waxed the body, conditioned the Fretboard and cleaned the electronics. Lubricated the hardware, saddles and Nut with guitar grease. I then swapped the Switch and Volume pot location(had to enlarge the Volume Pot hole to fit the toggle switch, and used tuner washers to reduce the switch hole to properly fit the smaller shaft of the Pot). I also added the pickguard from an Epiphone G-310(unfortunately you can’t do this on the newer SG Specials because the bridge Pickup is mounted further back). As for the Pickups, they are a set I pulled from a 2001 Gibson SG Special, probably 490’s. They really bring this guitar to life! Even though the body is Plywood it sounds fantastic! The only new parts I purchased where some Economy Tuners from Stewmac and some new Strings.

Yeah it's the original color. It was offered by Epiphone in the late 90's. This is what it originally looked like. hnpevk083o9ghducjbus.jpg

It's the same, the above picture is my guitar before it was modded. Its hard to get a good picture of the true color. I collect Green SG's(not alot out there!) and Green is hard to photograph.

    Thanks Hackelommi!

Take it outside, you'll get truer colors.
