A fake LP ?

    It's a 2015.
    First two digits of serial are the year on recent models with 9 digits.
    Also looking closely I can see the "2015 Model" stamped below the Made in USA stamp. They began stamping the 4-digit years and the word "model" circa 2008.

    If 8 digits, then the serial number can be decoded as follows:

    YDDDYRRR
    YY = year
    DDD = day of the year
    RRR = production rank

    The 8-digit system has been in place since 1977.

    Anything with less than 8 digits can get complicated.

    Correct, 2015, and legit. And one of the models that escaped the zero-nut thing. The top may or may not be your thing (not mine) but it seems they have been going for relative bargains lately.

    What's odd is that I have found the EXACT same guitar for sale in another country (photos are exactly the same, serial is exactly the same). Imo it's a scam.
