If you are going to rewire your house, I'm your huckleberry. I've got all kinds of pliers, dikes and screwdrivers and electricians' tape. I hope that I get the grounds right and that I calculated the service capacity correctly and your house wont burn down. Oh, I'm not a qualified electrician. I have a host of electricians I consult, but in the end I go with my gut. If it's more convenient to put a junction box inside the ceiling, that's where I put it. Hopefully the 20 pod lights and oven hood don't overload anything. I don't worry about splicing copper wire to aluminum with wire nuts and tape. How hot can it get? Wouldn't you feel safe with me on the job?
