I've just travelled back from Vienna where I attended my second gig of the Atlanta, GA band.
They are my latest live favourites (starting with their Budapest gig last February), and this thread is here to recommend them to all of you who are inclined towards the titular genre leanings. They are very decent musicians fronted by a great singer, with insane energy levels and they are loud.

    Powerful, I like it.

Dunno why but I got a whiff of Franky Goes To Hollywood.

:-DDDDD they use loops and sampled stuff, but they are truly a fresh live experience.

They are on tour right now in Europe, and are uploading recordings of their gigs (in somewhat varying sound quality depending on the venue) on Bandcamp.

They're coming to Montreal in March, but the venue is 1h30 away.

Well, I traveled to Vienna by train on a 3-hour ride and 3 more hours back home, rented a flat for the night with a friend and spent a nice evening in the city, and while it wasn't cheap, I don't regret it one bit.
Do check out their live stuff to help decide, but I can't wait to hear them in November if they do make it back to Budapest as the guitarist said they would.

LOL! I just turned 40, and I have never been the party person... Guess it's just a harsher calculation for you, Doc!

Young rooster you are. At 66 I might drive ½ hour for a show. Though I went to see King Crimson in the city last fall in a fair size venue.

This Algiers show is in a small bar. If you say it's loud, it'll be deafening in there.

Sorry Doc, system didn't notify me about your reply... yes it would be plenty loud, but that is part of their energy at this stage of their career. As it stands, they had to cancel a large chunk of their US tour due to the epidemic... :(

I hope you are well, stay safe!
