    Really digging the sound of my Orange Micro Dark through Vintage 30 loaded 1x12, and a TC Mini Hall of Fame to make things moist :) The plan is to eventually replace the Micro Dark with an all tube head, maybe something along the lines of an OR15, or something else depending on budget when the time comes.

    Ive been playing a Fender Mustang 1 for the past few years (since 2014). Tomorrow my new Marshall DSL15C will arrive and replace it. Still gonna keep the Mustang for some variety

    I'm still using my Mesa Mark IVb combo as my main amp. It's still one of the best amps I have ever had. Very flexible, and matches my style very nicely.

    During practice times, my Peavey Vypyr Tube-60 gets used a bit, as does my Mesa Nomad. The Nomad does get used for "grab and go".

    I have a Bastige Blues Jr, with twin English Celestions and an effect loop.

    I also have a 15w 1954 Valco/Gretsch Playboy.

    He seems very knowledgeable, but he can be a little dry. He also has that "math teacher" sense of humor, so there's that. I'm a Solid State guy, but I've watched several of his videos if only to gain some appreciation of how things were done.

    I just picked this up for something to jam with during my lunch hours at the office as my little orange micro crush is really starting to get annoying (that bee in a can sorta thing....). So far, I'm extremely impressed. Fantastic tone and practicality with very simple to use and authentic sounding effects. Definitely one of, if not the best solid state amp I've played in years. About time someone got these right!

    That sums it up right there. I'm a big fan of Boss effects (especially after spending a bunch of years and ton of money on "boutique" boxes) and they definitely get them right in the Katanas.

    Agreed - I'm amazed how little I have to do to find a decent sounding tone.

    I had a modeling amp years ago and found that it sounded absolutely soulless with horrid effects. My, how things have changed.....

    Here is my SG and Fender Twin Amp:
    [IMG]
    Sounds great with the 57s. It is a 2007 Fender Pro Tube Twin Amp and it can do anything I need it to;
    gain, cleans, reverb and tremolo, anything I need to get out of it.

    I view it as an inevitable thing. Given time, tech improves.

    I hear the Sabbath influence.
    Reminds me of "Hole in the Sky".
