in my own little world... apparently
i have a couple jaguars (modern player and a blacktop). i have been wondering about the HH but not the squire, rather the MIM classic player one. now i have the itch to head out to GC and look at what they might have hanging on the wall...

    AND the SAGA continues!!!!
Last night I go to play the NEW HH Jaguar--the "replacement" for the Original Jazzmaster that was returned for shoddy frets
NOW the HH Jaguar has a bad switch in bridge position ----SHITe!! I have MAYBE 3 hours in TOTAL on the guitar--AND I have only moved the switch 6-8 times TOPS. THIS is not acceptable.
So I call to see what my FRIENDS and MusicansFriend can do for me. O.K. they are low on inventory because of the Holiday and sales---and don't HAVE another HH Jaguar to send......understandable........so the young fella says, "do you like Surf Green?" I said---well who the "F" doesn't?????

So now this is winding its way to my home.......
Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Electric Guitar | Musician's Friend

I would like to point out MusiciansFriend has been very helpful and eager to resolve the issues when they arise. AND I have had ZERO issue with other items purchased from them this holiday season. Just incase anyone was wondering.

I've always had terrible luck with pickup selector switches. I have a squier bullet strat (was my very first electric guitar) and I had a similar issue with the selector switch, after a very short time it got to the point where you had to jiggle it to work. Wasn't a big deal, even now I don't do a lot of pickup switching mid song, but i did end up taking it apart and cleaning the hell out of it, and it worked just fine. :dunno:

Either way that green one does look killer too :thumb:

Yup, those switches do get stupid sometimes huh?

A few days ago the switch on my LP was cutting out and making me crazy.:run:
Opened the small plate on the back and hit it with some CRC contact cleaner and then went up on top and put a drop of Eezox Lube on it and worked it back and forth a few times and presto! Switch back to normal. But hey, if that's all the challenges I have in life now then I'll take it!:naughty:

And Adrian, when that '61 remake shows up you're gonna forget all about those Fender looking things anyway. :laugh2::laugh2:

Unfortunately, my goth SG isn't going to be all that easy. Angel needs all her electronics changed out. Might as well go with 500K pots and switch out the selector switch too for good measure... :\

I dunno, maybe i'll try coil splitting the Iommi pup

Oooohhh.....that IS a spanking pick guard! And a gorgeous guitar!

    Sweet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess these critters have a double wiring system? TONS of tone variations in the bone stock garb so why alter 'em? :)
