Gold writing and pineapple is easiest to spot.
Trc can vary from Epi shape with SG on it or the classic Korean shape with wings and Gibson name. Neck binding came back on recent Faded. Non veneer will show wood grain continuing from top to bevels.. All G400 have set necks, this one doesn't have a scarf joint near the headstock, but that can be hard to see form photos on the net.

Wow! Really? I started to go down that road with a double-neck but scared it was a cheapo POS. I found Wolf and AIO just about the time Wolf dropped their high quality (SoKo made) $599 double-neck from the lineup. Been looking at Harley Benton since then...

Just got home last night. I sent the money to seller 2 weeks ago and a friend was nice enough to get it for me. Guitar was waiting for me on the studio table.

It's a nice 2003 Korean. Has rusty strigns and screws. It'll need a little love before it sings.

HNGD Dr! A very cool looking SG.

There's one for sale about an hour from where I live, 40 min from my workplace. They want 300 USD with a hard case, looks like it's in great shape. Neck binding and SG truss rod cover. I don't really need another guitar, but keep checking every few days anyway :hmm:. It has been almost a month now and the post is still up.

Yep that's the one. Probably 2004 or 05.
Not a bad deal with a case.

AND ... another one just came up, a Cherry this time, $250. Must be 2004 or 05. I guess they were grown locally.

I know, I keep checking, but I already blew my cash on another SG. I should try to sell something first.

Cool, there is not photo veneer on the top, with the binding this Epi G400 is not a bad deal.

You can add 150 us$ and buy a real Gibson SG Special .

Doc, have you ever prayed to find a Korean Epi? Can you accidentally be said "Korean Epiphones" instead of "A Korean Epiphone"? This is almost a supernatural, too much luck about Korean Epiphones.
