Hmm no option for silver speed knobs?

Guess I'll just have to build it for real...

Reviving this ancient thread since I just remembered what a cool website this website is:

    http://www.frankmontag.com/sg_guitar.htm
Might be cool for some newcomers to the site who've never heard of this tool to try it out too.

I went ahead and designed my dream SG. The absolute most stripped back thing the site would allow. Exactly how I'd want it. Don't need anything but humbucker and volume knob

A run of the mill early 60s SG Special in cherry - heavily faded - with uncovered humbuckers mounted to the body instead of the p90s. Haven't seen this 'ol gal in well over 20 years!

I like the body mounted pups like that, looks mean à la EVH. But the pickgard is out of place, visually doesn't work.

It was a '61SG Special and their picguard is slightly different than the one you can choose here. It was designed for soapbar P90s without pickup rings so the cutouts for pickups was much narrower, and the tenon cover was part of the pickguard. The pickups fit the pickguard cutouts like a glove. In fact, I didn't know that P90s were what was supposed to be there, it looked like the humbuckers were designed for it. So it didn't look out of place on the real guitar but I agree, on this it looks like it doesn't quite fit.
