I'm probably going with my dad, hes looking for a decently priced Martin D-18 or D-28.

I'm not looking to sell it but for someone who would play it more than me and still take care of it....

nah, should probably just hold on to it for say at least 10 more years. :-\

I see. Thats the problem with old instruments, you're afraid to play them.

Old Martins can be the devil in disguise

Id go for anything after 1980

And if your wondering why, thats when they decided to add truss rods to martins

My friend just had his 1975 D-35 reset and it cost him about 500 Can
    So keep that in mind

Well, I have to say that the show was a bit of a letdown. It was small and there really wern't that many really nice guitars. I'd post pics, but I don't have a digtal camera. Ok, to the SGs, there was a '61 SG but in rough shape, with the vibrola removed pickup covers taken off, and faded to brown $10k, 68 standard badly converted to stopbar ( the stopbar was about 2" away from the bridge and the cover from the vibrola had been screwed on for looks. There was a '68 special with unoriginal bridge for $3k, a VOS SG Standard. Unfortunaly my dad didn't find any nice Martins, apart from a 70 somthing D-18 which although it played nicer than my Sigma, it didn't really sound any better.

I have been to Alberta, but that was two years ago on a school trip and before I had picked up guitar.
