** This isn't a true "Hardware" post, but didn't know where else to post since it does relate to playability and "Tone"...whatever that is !**

Does anyone else play these strings ?, or am I the only weirdo here.......???
Yep, 7's.....thick as a hair off yer head !

I seem to have a very light touch in my playing, so being able to bend complete or partial chord shapes, and things that you wouldn't think of manipulating, (or would be a bit difficult), has really opened some doors for my left hand expression.

Just curious as to what other players think of them.

Not 7s, but I use a custom set of light 8s on my Epi SG. Since I had 13s with a wound 3rd on it at one point, it definitely made me lighten my touch and re-evaluate my playing style on it.

I'm at 9's now. Could well migrate to 7's someday.

10s for me, nothing lighter. My "touch" is a bit more of a "hulk smash," especially when playing heavier stuff.

I envy those who can play with a light touch. It's a better technique, honestly.

I'm a lefty who plays right handed, so I never found them too hard to handle, just decided to check out the lighter side for a while. I've got Rotosound stainless steel 9s on the tele and strat.
