I was playing guitar today and somehow got so into it that I ended up drooling on my fretboard!

I've also been known to fall asleep while playing if I'm in a particularly comfy chair.

Anybody done anything weird like that while playing guitar?

nope, closest I have come is spilling a beverage more than once on my old LP.

I think I've drooled before, but I can't say I've ever fallen asleep.

Granted my chair isn't very comfy, and its rather conducive to falling out of which I've done more than once.

That wouldn't be an adult beverage, after one too many of the aforementioned now would it ORF?

I occasionally fall asleep and wake up still playing.

I promise you I am not joking.

re beverages: Why yes it was adult bevs... part of the problem with gigging crowded little hole in the wall places was the risk of booze getting on the gear. We learned not to store guitars near any tables and also not to put our drinks on top of our amps but the occasional bar fight was where nothing you could do... the booze goes flying and gets on everything.

Those were fun but crazy days back then. The amount of effort we put into a gig to make maybe $100-$200 that was divided 4 ways was nuts looking back on it but still fun times.

I fall asleep all the time playing guitar. Only electric tho and then after some beers.
Many a time I awoke with the trusty Tele in my hands and the amp on....

I have drooled on my guitar at least once before too. I'm not proud, I'll admit.
If that's not bad enough, I have also dozed off while playing, and woke up still playing, a couple of times on a few very late-night lounge gigs. Very professional...NOT

    I've fallen asleep while playing.

Sometimes I put the magazines aside and play the guitar on the can. You can never tell where inspiration may strike.

I've actually drooled on my fretboard before. It's a sign on concentration, I think... :p
The guitarist in my punk band falls asleep with his guitar almost every night while attempting to learn new songs. It shows in his playing, too!

That would be freaky if you didn't own a Tele, wouldn't it? ..."What the hell did I do?!"

I've never had a desire to get that... intimate... with my guitars.

This is a real photo from 2015, with the trusty Strat copy "Leonard", purchased in Argentina for like $50 bucks. It rocks!
