Anyone know why there is a Fanpop cookie installed on my/our
PC when I am on the forum?

Do you mean, what is a cookie?

It's a website that calls itself a network of fan clubs.

I suspect it just leeches off other sites by linking.

I'm wondering why I have a fanpop cookie on my PC
    without going to their website.

There must be some sort of link somewhere on this
    forum.

I'm going to try and see just what I have to look at
    here to get it.

They're here, Fanpop - Fan clubs for everything. What are you a fan of?

This is what I see after reading a few posts,

    Perhaps a Mod can explain.

    A: I don't use Chrome, I use Firefox.

B: I've been using Adblock for years, it doesn't block cookies.

    C: I know it's a third party cookie.

D: My question is how/why is it here?

Is there maybe a Fanpop ad here that I don't see,
    thanks to Adblock?

If I'm browsing for any length of time, I clear cookies
manually, as I move from one place to another,
but I have Firefox set to delete them when it closes.

Iwonder if it's worth mentioning that the message we
see on logging out, "all cookies cleared" is "inaccurate".

Thanks for the link ghostwolf, but overkill for me,
and too big for an add-on.
