Last year I decided to sell one of my Fenders to get a new amp. After much deliberation I decided to sell my AVRI Jazzmaster and keep my Jeff Beck Strat. At the time it was my last Fender as I was playing my short-scale guitars more and frankly, and the JB Strat with the Clapton mid-boost is as versatile of a guitar as you can get, so I thought I should keep it. But I miss my Jazzmaster, and now I have a chance to get it back. So here goes. It's a 2012 Jeff Beck Strat in Surf Green that I've installed a Clapton mid-boost kit in. I love the Clapton Strat, but I'm not a fan of the V necks. The Jeff Beck, however, has one of, if not the best IMO, necks Fender makes. Larger and fuller than Fender's Modern-C, but not a baseball bat. Super comfy. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I think the JB Strat is the best production Strat you can buy, period. The Hot Noiseless pickups rock and are among the best sounding noiseless pickups available, it's got the Deluxe's contoured neck heel, and the two-post vibrato with LSR nut and staggered, locking tuners (no string trees) makes for a guitar with a silky smooth trem feel that you can't knock out of tune. Stock, as I mentioned already, I think it's the best production Strat you can buy, but I wanted one guitar that I could play anything from the Surf to Metal with, so I added the Clapton kit. If you're not aware, the kit adds up to a 20db mid-boost and has the TBX tone control that allows you to either cut the high-end like a traditional tone control, or cut the low-end out. TONS of tones available from thin and sparkly to thick, humbucker-ish. It's truly a do all guitar and I'm stupid for selling it. Condition - Excellent. No real dings, marks, or scuffs. Light pick marks in the pickguard and a light scuff at the very very end of the headstock are about it. Tweed, OHSC in excellent condition. All case candy included. It has been opened, though, as I had to rob the cable when I ran out during a recording session and just had to have one more cable! The picture of the backside of the guitar shows the trem cavity cover off, but it's included as that's where the battery is for the Clapton kit. There was no additional routing or drilling done for the kit and the stock V/T/T pots are included. The pics also show Dunlop straplocks, but the stock Fender/Schallers will be included. $1300 shipped and PayPal'd CONUS only. PayPal gift appreciated, but not required. No trades unless you've got an AV or AVRI Jazzmaster.
