Well, I really got fed up of all the hassles of "trying" to record to PC using the M-Audio Firewire Solo.
I was kinda biased anyway since I hate computers so much when they don't work as claimed.
So, I sold the Firewire Solo and bought the very nice and user friendly Fostex MR8-HD multitracker.
Wow, so much fun without even one tiny headache. This thing is great.
Along with the help of a Boss DR-3 drum machine and a PODxt I've been recording late into the night and life is good.

Very good! Congrats on your unit.

Maybe you'll post some of your recordings?

I find it hard to record with a PC also.
I have a Boss BR-8 and I don't jive with that too well.

I miss the old days when recording was EASY!

One day, I hope to find a recorder I like.............

I still stuck with a Tascam Porta-Studio (old) but most difficult thing for me is finding the time to use it.......... ::)

They are great and you'll be amazed at what can be done....... I ditto the recording request........... ;)

I've got a few short takes I've done just to get comfortable with the Fostex.
I will post them later on today for sure.....

Ok, I'm posting them in the "Jams Audio and Video Performances" section right now.
