A bit more subtle than a Zoot, but the same carve to the top:

    Welcome to ETSG!

Seems like the most popular SG color is red, doesn't it? Our favorite lil red devil.
But I don't own one. My first SG was the color Gibson calls "Worn Brown."
That one attracted me from ten meters away, and I'm not over it yet, eight years later.
    Music room 1@100.jpg
The brown one is still the Queen of my music room, but the Silverburst is right up there
as a handmaiden to the Queen and a shameless courtesan... Lucky me, I can play with
them both in the same night.
    Luna:motion@100.jpg
    April Orange 4@100.jpg
It's only in recent times that I ever saw a Silverburst... I was immediately
attracted. So I like this 2012 SG special '70s tribute very much, more for its
tone and feel than its looks. This one with the mini-humbuckers and the block inlays
and the oversize '70s headstock is completely unique, and its tone is also.
My 'regular' SG sounds very Gibson-y with its '57 Classic and Classic + hum buckers.

And maybe they both fall in the category of funky, crazy SG color designs in their own
subtle ways. Luna (her madge, the Queen) has a pick guard made of walnut, and
April (the courtesan) has her pick guard made of ebony. *grins
...subtle detailing that few would notice or care about except me. so I have to boast.
That's one thing you'll notice about this forum. We love to show off photos of our
beloved SGs (repeatedly) and we love to brag on them.

That's really nice mate, i have been playing them alot in the shops recently, mesmerized by the nice wide fret board and the balance, weight and tone! They also look stunning. I'm now a converted SG man!

Welcome to Da Zoo Sean. There is no turning back now, you've been brainwashed, electrocuted, SGrased. Now hand over all the orher guitars ou have in your possession, because they'll just rot in a corner. I have many close friends (imaginary for the most) that would like whatever you have to give.

And most important, don't forgive to show us pics of IT, when you put your hands on IT.

Mine are all boring single colors. Red, white & blue.
I love the silverbursts & the Diablos.

Burst finishes are pretty common in Gibsons, but not so much in SGs. I like the Tobacco one myself

This is starting to look like Photoshop. Can you spot the tenon cover ? What is it made of ?

It's there. Made of a piece of the same flamey maple that the cap is made of and stained the same color.

Those are some wild looking guitars! I'd like a straight up cherry SG Standard with a small pickguard, 57C+ and 57C pickups. :yesway:
