I'm good. Wrong bevel shape around the pickguard. Oh but it does have the tie bar grommets for hardware Iommi never used. Glad it has that.
Probably a great guitar nonetheless. I'll have a luthier finish the job if I get one.
Did Iommi's guitar have white P-90's?

The "tie bar grommets" were actually used for a stop bar tailpiece. I'm pretty sure the pickups had metal covers to help with noise/RF interference.

It's a repro of his actual guitar. It's correct to that spec. And the pickup covers are chrome, not white.

Of possibly even more interest is the Adam Jones Silverburst Custom. Looking forward to seeing that.

Yeah, I pretty much stand corrected on what I wrote up top. That is a damn fine SG and I need one. So there:)

    Seen the price?!

How rich do they think Sabbath fans are? Most are scraping together enough coin for some cheap dope to roll on the inside of their Masters Of Reality gatefold vinyl let alone this!!

They're probably aiming for the old Sabbath fans that grew up enough to have disposable income, but not enough to stop playing the air guitar every time War Pigs plays on the stereo (or whatever kids call it these days).

Or, if people are gonna make money on the used market that Gibson would never see, maybe this is how they attempt to get their share, preemptively?

    Meh...
Not much of a players' guitar anyhow, so if you want one for show, DH gate < $500.

Based on that peach guitar price more like $45k
Most guys won't even gig $4k R9s, those are destined to be displayed for life. That's a sin, but of course Gibson knows this so they don't have to build players, just lookers.

Ok, if you want the guitar Iommi played first up in Black Sabbath, here's what you'll need to do:
    1. Get you a faded cherry stained 1961 reissue wraptail SG Special through Gibson Custom. $3k
    2. Find some Jaydee or similar FilterTron-type pickups to go in there. Find out what exactly are in Iommi's SG, pickup wise.
    3. Get you some wide, flat pickup risers like those on Iommi's SG.
    4. Get you some Grover Rotomatic headsets to go on the peghead.
    5. Have a pickguard cut to match that found on Iommi's SG.
    6. Get you a wide-case, adjustable wraptail bridge like on Iommi's SG and then.
    7. Find some witch-hat knobs, and then
    8. You're on your own as to the violin-playing monkey decal. I dont know where you'll find that, but by this point in the build, you should be good to go for under $5k, probably under $4k.
