So I’ve got a new SG 61 with the Maestro. Beautiful guitar!

So a few notes on the fretboard have a sort of vibration, almost distorted sound when playing unplugged. Microphonic comes to mind. Doesn’t come through my amp. The sound is definitely coming from behind the bridge. I’m just curious if anyone has heard of this before and what the issue is as it’s my first experience with one. Thanks!

I own several and have never experienced that, but my first response might be to carefully check the four tiny screws that hold the cover to the frame. The screws retaining the frame to the body might be checked too.

I’ll give it a try when I get home. It’s strange because it doesn’t happen on open chords. Only a few single notes on the D and G.

**All screws tight and it’s still there. If I play in classical position it doesn’t happen. Maybe I’m losing my mind. It’s subtle and can’t be heard though my amp so not that pressing of an issue I guess.

Is the ABR-1 bridge leaning forward?

The neck pickup could be vibrating. My Les Paul was doing it so I lowered it and now I don’t get any weird noises.
