Ginger Baker has died

    That's two out of three Cream members that have passed away. He was a great drummer, although I reckon not quite as good as he thought he was, also an unbelievably nasty man personally. His main passion was not music, but breeding polo ponies and playing the game, which he did in South Africa.

    I was expecting this due to his failing health. Sad to hear both outcomes of which you posted, Don.

    I always enjoyed Ginger's playing, but was disappointed when someone else spoke of his nature to be a jerk to people.

    This guy was crazy and one of the best drummer imho.

    Of all the guys I have heard drumming, and also studied. Tommy Aldridge reminds me the most of Ginger's playing.

    I don' t understand :confused:

    I say that Baker is black Inside because he' s got the rythm and he loved black women.

    What is there to understand? It is a piece of clever comedy that conflates a slang word for black with ginger, surprising the audience. It's very clever, and it works.

    Ah, OK. You have to understand the play on words. You need reasonably decent to do that.

    What Don tried to illustrate was a play on Mr Baker's name Ginger. This comedian tried to make people think he was inferring prejudice to another assumed type prejudice, but then spins it around to be RED Headed people, otherwise known as "Gingers"
