Hey !welcome,I wouldn't change a thing on your SG,maybe the Grovers if they were causing neck dive.but otherwise ,totally 70"s appropriate mods.I would probably just get rid of that red in the horns and thats it..

the 42nd street looks NICE! reminds me of Rock n Roll Relics. Not Cheap but my kind of guitars:

No, I don’t have any old guitars except for the SG II. The Junior is a 2009, the Derek Trucks is from 2014. Love them both!

    Thank you Larry,

There is a bit of neck dive going on with the Grovers, as well as the behemoth of a neck joint, so I might well go for the original style tuners to remedy things.

Yes, 42nd Street guitars also do the heavy relic and revealed undercoat finishes like Rock n Roll Relics do. I think a lot of those guitars look amazing - I love the dc thunders model! - though I prefer the idea of knocks, bumps and wear accumulating over time through use, there's still room I my collection for a tasty RnRR!

That's the ugliest guitar I have ever seen!

    I love it!

Welcome aboard! I had a Columbus Les Paul copy back in the 70s... Let's have a look at your Columbus SG - I don't remember those at all...

    Hi SG,

No problem! It's far from standard having been fettled by Sam Deeks at the feline friendly Reloved Guitars (you can see the AristoCat decal and Lord Morris wearing a top hat).

It has had a lot of work done, including a refret and re-radius to make it a playable guitar 20180313_065615.jpg 20180313_065628.jpg 20180313_065615.jpg better than when it was new) and now has a set of Vansen p90s which sounds spot on.

So that's all of my SG style guitars! The next I'm planning on getting is a Gibson 61 reissue. I had one years ago and still regard that one as One I Should Never Have Sold and hope to find another like it...
