Luckily it was a PP purchase and after threatening t hem they returned my money.
I have and bought demos from sweetwater. If they cant and don't provide picture of
as many said of specific problem you are rolling the dice and its in their favour.

If you pay with payPal , this is an insurance and you can return the guitar . If you live at 5000 km from the shop this is not easy.

You don' t want to buy a poor used Epiphone copy ?

Mine, too, but each member's risk comfort is sacrosanct and it is understandable that the op wouldn't want to spend big bucks to return one. As others have noted, big sellers like zzound's and musicians friend usually don't sell horribly deformed guitars. It would be bad business.
That such an unrepentant malefactor is given free-reign to entirely ignore the rules and abuse other members seriously detracts from the appeal of this site.

Lets see----- I am guessing that any B or Blem is probably NOT going to be THIS BAD .......and frankly the damn thing has held tune for what Grant almost 2 years??? At least a year and a half.....I drag it ALL over Florida with me----its my "travel axe" plays and sounds AWESOME has great low action hot pups -----worth at least 5 times the price of admission.......so it doesnt look perfect.
    NEITHER does this!

TRY the "B"s many times you cant even FIND the blem.....really......

Yeah I agree, eS.G. There's some deals to be had, but it's a gamble.

But that's half the fun though, right?

    I love it.

EXACTLY! if you use pay pal or a credit card ----there are "protections"

HELL I RETURNED 2 Jazzmasters and was REWARDED with a 1st quality NON "blem" Jaguar....for the price of a bargain basement Jazzmaster and ---some reboxing........IMHO it was very worth it.

The SG G310 pictured above MIGHT someday get a full strip and redo-----or I might leave it as is----just to show ---its not ALWAYS about the pristine finish.....

Live a little try the B stock sometimes you get well rewarded for your roll of the dice.

OH this was another "Blem" from Rondo

    And so was this
    mockingbird.jpg

    And this was a refurb
    ruby1.jpg
    ruby2.jpg

And BOTH the head and the cabinet where purchased as Blems (still cant find the blem)
and I got both for the regular price of the 5 watt head at regular rate......
    AND I LOVE IT
    Panamanian Purple PEavey Eater.jpg

Try it MAN! you could wind up with a ROOM full of cool shite for PENNIES on the dollar----:)

AND --- in FULL DISCLOSURE mode I --and I think many here have purchased 1st rate non blem NEW stock that came to them damaged broken and needing returned......so your full price Epi could arrive damaged...... so...... what was I saying ----crap ---- I need a sammich

    Time to play B-sides...

Seriously roll the dice.....most everyone here has the skills to repair most every issue with a guitar(or amp) ----if you dont---you ask here and someone helps ----so----
What do you really have to lose? The risk is VERY minimal......much less than eating a Big Mac for sure-----God KNOWS what could happen if you do that!!!!:wow::facepalm:

I bought this used and blemished Epi SG (2004 G-400) from eBay a year ago for $138.61 shipped. A gig bag was included and Dunlop strap locks were installed. The seller said there was no output. I knew it was just a broken solder connection. Cosmetically there was an inch dent/crack in the polly on the bottom of the geetar and a crack around the output jack. To fix the cosmetic issues I just mixed up some red paint with superglue and sanded and polished with Meguiar's Scratch X.

Plays like butter. Cat in picture for scale.

I know people get pretty anal about scratches and dings.
There's a SG Original (the one with the vibrola) currently for sale on TGP at a nice price but the back is all scratched and people don't buy it because of that!
I don't have the money and I don't live in the US but, that kind of thing would be perfectly acceptable for me if it ment a nice discount!
    I'm gonna scratch it anyway!
