I bought this guitar in a bundle with an Cube Micro amp,an OHSC and a Behringer EQ pedal.
I sold off all the extras and wound up only having $20 in the SG at that point.
Perfect op to play with some mods:)
I thought the all black dynamic was a lot boring so here's what I've done so far:
    Amber witch hat knobs.($6)
    Cream treble/rhythm chip.($5)
    Custom skin on the pick-guard.($14)
    Switchcraft 3 way toggle.($6)
    Bourns full size pots.($15)
Dimarzio 36th Anny PAF in the neck (Cream).($70)
I'm working on the tuners and nut at the moment...prob install the neck tomorrow.
Found some "in the box" Hipshot locking tuners with the Classic Pearl Gibson style knobs.($49)
Might put a "zero fret" on her instead of a new nut...($12)
    Also considering a Bigsby B5 with Vibramate…($145)
    If I skip the Bigsby,I'll still only have about $195 bucks into her:^) epi SG.jpg P1200857.JPG P1200858.JPG P1200859.JPG P1200860.JPG P1200861.JPG
Any of you guys have any ideas/suggestions???

I had to shoehorn the 57s in my G-400 as well.

If you add the Bigsby, I'd recommend roller saddles. They improve the vibrato and tuning a great deal.

Hi, new to the forum, I originally bought a G-400 for my nephew but he’s left handed so I kept the guitar for myself. It’s been sitting for awhile and recently I picked it up started playing it and love the sound. I wanted to make a few mods see if I can get some recommendations, so far the list of things I’d like to add are :
    Bigsby b5
    Hipshot locking tuners
    66 full face pick guard
    Gibson speed knobs
I’ve seen a few people recommended a roller bridge to go along with the bigsby but haven’t found one yet
Looking to do most of this in the next few weeks...any other things I should look into before making any mods
    Thanks

@Biddlin Slightly off-topic, but dem roller saddles, do you need to replace the whole bridge for that, or can you replace the saddles on the bridge you already have?

New bridge made for the rollers I think. The bridges come with them anyway.

Gonna have to look into this, might get a Gretsche with a bigsby instead of a hardtail and just replace the bridge. One of my dream guitars is an SG just like that one @Biddlin posted, probably Epiphone, too, cuz Gibby is too rich for my blood, and it'd be nice to have a roller saddle bridge for that, too.

Yes, I replaced the whole bridge. I got mine from Stew-Mac if memory serves.

Remember that there are metric and English sizes, Epi's are metric.

Those Hipshot locking tuners you want will make the headstock real heavy and you might not like what it does to the guitar balance. Why do you want them ? Are present tuners problematic ?

A full face pickguard might leave some screw holes showing. But mostly, it won't fit the pickup positions. The G10 having a screwed in neck, has the neck pup (if not both) in a diffrerent position.

Gibson knobs will not fit on the pot shafts and you might end up breaking stuff trying to push them in. So you need metric. Like Chinese cheap metric.

And wecome the the SG zoo ! Your's will look great and unique.
