Help Identifing an SG Custom

    I am looking at this 2004 SG Custom, the guy says it is an Epiphone but it says Gibson across the headstock? Did Epiphone make this or is this a Gibson? I don't have the serial number yet. sg.jpg

    If you look closely you can see Epiphone on the headstock. Someone has layered Gibson over it. Look just past the n in Gibson and you can clearly see the e. It's an Epiphone.

    epi custom with faked gibby headstock

    ( those epi customs are fine guitars by the way,
    maybe you turn this one into an "epiphone " again if youre up for buying it..:)

    I just sold one. I really liked it & was tempted to move others to keep it. I have too many irons in the fire to justify keeping it. I liked the neck & the 3 pickup positions were good, as were the pickups.

    Funny, theres a slightly maimed one on my local CL. I dropped the guy a line. He had someone enroute. I assume he grabbed it.
