Well it dawned on me a few days ago about the .22 shot loads being kinda puney. CCI makes .38 Spl. shot loads too! Found a box of 10 at a local shop and snapped 'em up. A ΒΌ oz of #9 shot is pretty decent for snakes. So now I go out with my old 1956 S&W .38 on my hip loaded with two shotloads followed with four cast 158 gr SWC loads. If I can't kill snakes with that combination, then I'll need a rocket launcher!:laugh2:

Had more rain last week here, but for now no more snakes by the house. But I know they're out there waiting...... But then so am I.:naughty:

I may be older than dirt now, but I still got that old Ranger attitude. :naughty:

Hey Wade, I have an excellent way to keep snakes away....lets see, uhm 11 dogs at last count, 3 or is it 4 cats......uhm a rabbit, and oh yeah a 200lb pot bellied pig! ---wait I forgot the "wild" armadillo that lives under the back porch.......snakes avoid my place like the plague .....but I wish a few would come round cause feeding this ZOO gets pricey....geesh.......I need a vacation!
