The last 3 guitars I picked up were SGs. My 14, 17 Standard and 18 Special. I have a thing for LP Traditional guitars. A new one came up for a bit over 1500. So it is on the way.

I hope my 3 to 1 will allow me to stay in the fold.

I hope it weighs 10 lbs!
Seriously, show us some pics. I don't understand why the Traditionals are so much more affordable than Standards. They're great LPs.

My upgraded and modified LP Tribute, This 800 $ Les Paul is fantastic !

    - Buffed finish
    - Hand made body binding
    - Blank '59 repro truss rod cover
    - Black plastics and 5 ply pickguard (Gibson)
    - Historic switch tip and black poker chip
    - Nickel metal jack plate (stronger than plastic stock one)
    - Philadelphia LT knobs
    - Gibson ABR-1 bridge (nickel finish)

The case is a Lifton '59 RI Tokai, Very nice and HQ .

HOW COULD YOU say that and not show us pics of the LP Traditional!

I have 4 Gibson SGs and one Gibson Les Paul Traditional. You are in good company.

I've been a fan of the LP Classics, which I think became the Traditionals after 2008. A little heavy but worth every penny. All around fantastic guitars.

I think the LP Studio HP models are the best price point.

    Plus you get free fans!

I do not mind 10 lb guitars. So that would be fine. I am not sure why either. This one is usually 2300 or so and so form me it was a factory new for the price of a Studio these days.

I have an Epi 1960 V3 that is killer with its maple cap BB1 and BB2 pickups. I also have a 13 Studio (also killer) with the 490 pair. It is a nice tone as well.

Grats. I love the Trads better than most standard fare LPs. I need to get one this year myself.

Arrived. I think it had been an open box, but it appears new so good by me. I have not plugged it in, so assuming it works electronically we are seemingly good.
