A friend bought this very nice SG MIJ, this is a great SG with correct shape, no photoflame, good vibrations.
The humbuckers are Gibson USA, much better than the chinese Epiphone, fantastic !

Made in Japan are very good guitars, real SG shape not like chinese Epiphone, incredible finish for the price.

He's probably talking about the veneered tops, not exactly photoflame.

He keeps trashing Epiphone under different nicknames on all forums, until he gets kicked out. All of the nice Gibson he shows are never his. Olympic caliber troll.

Great find, sweet guitar. I kind of have an MIJ fetish and used to collect old Burny's, Fernandes, Tokai, Greco, Orville, Orville by Gibson (my first SG!), etc. The MIJ with the correct headstock are great as are the Epi Elitist line, really fantastic LP's.

An ordinary plain (often multipiece) top with a thin sheet of beautifully figured wood on it. The difference is that the veneer is actually made of real wood and photoflame, as the name says, is basically a picture.
