It’s all stock, which is leading me to wonder why it is so cool. I haven’t seen a batwing black sg with gold hardware from 2006, I’m wondering if this is some kind of limited edition or something.I decoded the serial number and it’s a 2006 made in Nashville. Anyone seen one of these before

    That’s a beauty!

I have seen a number of black standards with gold hardware, Gibson themselves have released similar models. Not sure if this is stock guitar or someone changing over some hardware for the look. The volume/tone knobs are a bit unique. Maybe I am just having a brain fart, but I don’t recall seeing those top hats like that. It appears to be a gold knob, with a gold insert.

It’s a gold top hat knob with silver a insert.

I like how you took my 'up-scale & classy' & comes up wiff 'up-class'. It's like witnessing 'merican slang in the making!

it might be one of the "Guitar of the Week" specials that Gibson
was offering through stores such as "Guitar Center..."

What ever it is, it's lovely.

I’m not a batwing fan, but black with gold is a winner.
