tarbacks in mine for sure
so its either late 73 or early 74?
it is the normal pickup distance
No, you have the "too far from the bridge" bridge pickup, only found in those two years. (No worries, it sounds great, just different. A bit less treble, but more dynamic response.)
Could be ANY month of 73 or 74, but as someone else noted the plastic washers, probably '74.
I have a question for you: Does yours have the lessened neck and headstock angle, plus the raised FB? (where the FB is not flush with the body, but actually a little bit over the pick guard?)
I'm trying to determine if those features go together with the tarbacks, (and maybe even the unbound neck, which I thankfully DON'T have) thus giving some weight to my theory that the steeper angles and t-tops (and bound Brazilian FB's) also all go together, also from "the other" factory.
Also, what's your serial number?
this is the serial
I will send pics of the headstock angle and fb
here are the tarbacks
the main thing for me was the thin nut width. I wanted that.
was it still the thin nut width when they changed back to the normal pickup spacing? and did they change the pickups when they changed the spacing?
I'm pretty sure that's the steeper headstock angle.
You don't show the neck angle, but it theoretically goes with the headstock angle reversion.
