I see threads about preference in knobs and watch them like I would a curling match, fascinated by the depth of commitment of most commenters. Not that knobs aren't important, I threw back a gorgeous Epi Les Paul tribute at the GC because they were too cheap to replace the cracked knobs on the full price display model. The thing is, I have only once in 50 years swapped knobs on a guitar from what ever it had when I got it, unless they rotted away. I switched from the stock MiM Fender knobs on my Strat for some fancy and heavier abalone insets, purely cosmetic.

I do have a preference for a particular knob, but I probably won't be buying 68 of them to replace the others.

The Gibson speed knobs from my '14 Les Paul Melody Makers are my faves by a long shot.
Working on stage I use the controls a lot and these are the easiest to feel and never slip off of.
Cosmetically, smooth speed knobs are probably my favorites on SGs and LPs, but I am fine with top hats. I dislike witch hats. no particular reason.
    How about you?

Witch Hats, by far, but only on certain models. For most SGs and LPs, I go with those. Other guitars vary, obviously.

    c. 1980 I swapped the numberless witch hat style knobs off my Guild for a pair of speed knobs. In 2017 I swapped them back. That's it, never felt the need to change knobs since then. Probably the most practical ones I have are the grippy speed knobs on my '16 SG Standard HP, but I'm just as happy using the chrome knobs on my SG Supreme. Seems the numbers aren't as important as I once thought they were.:)

For Gibson-type guitars I voted for top hats, but I also like witch hats on some guitars. For my needs I find that they're all about the same functionally, so it just comes down to what looks best on a particular guitar.

I like the plastic kind , but am partial to top hats with reflectors and pointers, but chicken heads on my Tele.

I like the HP type knobs personally ... I thought originally they are aluminum but maybe they are just chrome.

Where do you get those notched speed knobs? Those look like they would have an awesome feel to them.

    Depends on the guitar.

On Gibson’s and Telecasters my favorite knobs are the Fender Amp knobs.

On Strats I like telecaster knobs.

I do like speed knobs too, but will give them up for amp knobs.

I hate strat knobs, and Gibson reflectors/top hats. But I will keep them on guitars I don’t want to mess with.

Ibanez had some top hat type with a grippy ring I really liked.

Top hats (if that includes reflector knobs) for me, but it all depends on the guitar. Reflectors on SGs, gold or amber on Les Pauls depending on the guitar.

No link, they were supplied with the 2016 SG Standard HP, allegedly part of it's 'high performance' design - marketing people do love spouting crap! The following year the HP models came with numberless chrome knobs.

If you dig through posts from 2016, you might find one from Rayne, who had found something similar for sale somewhere.
