That's a nice looking guitar and a heck of a lot cheaper than the 3 grand I spent on my goldtop. :yesway:

Put the action up a bit and play some statesboro blues. First slide song i ever learned, though i learned to play it on a resonator which made slide a breeze.

Killer. You know, you only notice the missing binding if you're the one playing it. I never gave it a second thought on my studio. (I know no one mentioned binding, just a thought.) I can not understand however, how they can afford to put body and neck binding on a $50 acoustic guitar, but it costs $1000 more to get it on a Les Paul. Life is a mystery.

Personally, I'm not a massive fan of Goldtops. They just look a little dull to me. I'm sure you'll love it though :D
I've heard that its extremely common for cheaper guitar manufacturers to actually paint on the binding. Apparently Epiphone do it a lot. Thats just knowledge from what I've heard though, I've never really stopped to look if the binding is real

I have two PRS SE Bernie Marsdens and they both have binding with frets over the binding. These were in the same price range as the Gibson Faded Studios just for your reference.

Edit: Just wanted to say that it is possible to get proper binding on cheap guitars as well.

I love this guitar. I used one of the first 50s tributes(P-90s) when they came out in 2010 and I also used to have a couple of R7s and a Goldburst Custom.
