She's a beauty for sure. The extra body length puts her about two frets further out, so she takes a moment or two to recalibrate, but she's is worth it.

Kinda like switching from an SG to a Telecaster.

I completely agree. SGs necks feel far away from the body compared to a Lester, and a Firebird's neck is even farther! I was playing mine and the neck feels further away from me than even the SG! :D

So you turned it into what fender factory modded it from?

You got to love a good Esquire though, and I never understood the triple Esquire myself.

Good eye regarding the Surf 90's - Yeah, the Surf 90's are a great swap for the stock Gretschbuckers in the 5120 ~

Oh man - this is my kinda of thread! I've had Bigsby's on just about everything over the years, starting with a Vantage LP Copy through Epi and Gibson SGs, Firebirds, Les Pauls and some Fender Teles along the way. My current "quiver" is a little thin (and one is an acoustic!) so these represent my current Bigsby quota:

My main guitar is this 2005 Gibson Memphis 335 Dot Reissue with Bigsby B6 (modded with a B3 hinge plate) and a Towner tension bar. The guitar has a much fatter D-shaped neck vs every other 335 I've played which I absolutely love and is fitted with WCR Crossroads PAF humbuckers. After years of playing Les Pauls I finally found that I was a 335 guy! I kinda want to convert it to some Lollar Dogear P90s but I have a feeling I'd regret it down the line ...

My backup is this 2004 Gibson Les Paul Studio Plus with Bigsby B70 and an AllParts roller bridge. I found the greater break angle on this guitar meant I needed the roller bridge to keep the Bigsby feeling smooth. I've also just had it re-wired with Jimmy Page push/pull hilarity ... it's my #2 but if the coil splits or out of phase settings prove useful enough it might become first choice for some songs.

This is a necro of my thread, but I'm okay with that. That 5120 is rad!
