Hi, first time posting here! I'd like your suggestions on some cheap SG copies.
    The guitar has to have:
2 humbuckers (mini humbuckers are also fine).
1 volume and 1 tone knob.
at least 22 frets but preferably 24.
Extra points if there's a model in black since I really don't want to refinish.

So far I've found the Harley Benton DC custom but since I can't find a black one for sale I'd like to hear some other options that you guys might have.

For a modding platform I would go for one that has a fulls set of controls. This is a bit limiting.

I never liked the 4 knobs and I let everything on max anyway, just 1 volume and tone knob is more than enough for since I'd like to split the coils as in a PRS with a push-pull pot.

What will the intended modding consist of then?
