You guys know I love to tinker. I also like making crap into less crappiness.

Today I received a Maestro by Gibson. Maple bolt-on neck, basswod body, single humbucker with coil split, wraparound bridge. Black shiny paint with black/white/black pickguard. Electrical is mounted to the pickguard.

I have leftover parts, so that's what I'll use. I have a 4-wire Super DIstortion around here somewhere for the pickup, and I've ordered a cheap but intonatable bridge. Last, a nice set of Grover non-locking takeoffs that I'll use to replace the crap tuners. Some Hipshot buttons for grins and I think I'm likely done.

It's "playable" now so I suspect I can set it up just fine. Will it be an SG Junior? Kinda sorta. We'll see!

    Pics when I'm done.
