Melody 6000 or 6100 or frankensg? I can't find anything else that comes close.

Looked all over the interwebs, can't find anything close to it except the above mentioned "Melody" models. The pickguard and truss cover throws me off, as does the quality and the obviously old roller bridge and pickups. This thing sounds AMAZING and you can see the wood grain through the finish and it's REALLY heavy, so i'm fairly confident the body is solid wood. The whammy bar I'm pretty sure isn't original. There's no markings on it anywhere, not on the head, the neck, under the pick guard, on the caps, under the neckplate, nothing. Some things I've seen in other knockoffs like the line just below the head I've heard is a giveaway, but you'd think that if this was a knockoff, it'd have SOME kind of logo on it. It was purchased in a lot sale with a bunch of instruments in Vegas at auction, that's all I know about where the previous owner got it. I've had it for over 15 years, and love love love playing it. It sounds amazing! I had to adjust the pickups because they were hot as hell though. They'd pick up someone talking across the room, and I couldn't be within 5 feet of my amp without feedback. Any help would be appreciated! 1384350_4905684619931_704699970_n.png 7968465.jpg 9687435.jpg 9687441.jpg 98746245.jpg 467854563.jpg

Not to pop your bubble, but plywood is generally heavier then solid wood.
Pickups look like the ones used by Matsumoku in 73-75, though you don't have a lawsuit styled headstock. Trem looks to be of the same type used by TEISCO/Kawia in the early 70's. but since you know it's an add on, no help there. Best guess on my end... Korean after 77. Maybe the pickguard and pickups were added later...??

tbh, I assumed the Trem wasn't original because I saw the same kind on ebay n' such, and it doesn't look as old as the pickups or bridge. As for the head, it has this weird thing where it has that same grain interruption as the bottom of the head but on the top:

Here's just some more pictures of oddities I noticed, and some of the case it came with. Weird chipping on the sides.

The electronics back looks like it has a different curve to it. Also the thing is so damn glossy that my phone wouldn't focus on it.
