MIJ Epiphone SG: Real or Fake?

    Saw this MIJ Epiphone SG on the classifieds going for STUPID cheap ($285). Of course, knowing how much those kinds of guitars go for, I got a bit skeptical.

    Can anyone identify if this really is fake or not? The serial number does look fishy, because it's missing a letter before the numbers. Unless that part faded, but I guess that would be a bit too convenient, wouldn't it?

    So someone faked it so they could sell it cheaper?

    Made in Japan are great guitars , better quality than chinese Epiphone.

    The one pictured here legit to me

    Almost all fakes are cheaper than the real deal. They sell Fibsons for $300 all day.

    Looks legit to me. Did they all have a prefix? I'm not sure.

    I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Fakers don't bother with relicing.
