Doesn't quite exist - I think... And that's fortunate because the closest thing is actually worth more than all my guitars put together. I hadn't seen one until a few days ago when a fellow member here posted pics.

But put 24 frets on this baby and I think you get my Ultimate Guitar.

White SG, classic tuners, neck binding, Bigsby, a pair of humbuckers ('57 for me), small pickguard, trapezoid inlays - just about every cosmetic details of this beauty... I'm salivating.

Which doesn't mean there aren't dozen of other models I'd want. :p

I just love those white SGs - I think it goes back to Jake E. Lee's white junior all those years ago. That must have been the first SG to really catch my eye as a kid. In fact, when I ordered my SGJ, I originally wanted a white one, but they were temporarily out of stock and I didn't want to wait. Which may have been a good thing, considering the number my sweat has done on the Chocolate one. The white one would look like a mess, and not a nice mess.

What's YOUR dream SG - do you own it or do you have clear plans to acquire it or is it beyond reach, if it even exists?

Most I've paid for a guitar was $1199 - US Fender strat in '96.
    2k seems ginormous.

I simply wouldn't feel comfortable holding a piece of wood that's worth 5k. I don't want to agonize over the most insignificant scratch. I like guitars that can take a bit of tough love, you know...

Unless I got paid to play for Madonna or Paul McCartney or something...

My dream SG's are the SG Customs. Way out of my price range (specially here in Europe), but that's what make them dream guitars, I guess ;)

I guess if a guitar had 24 frets on it I would say ok, but in 50+ years of playing I've never reached for the 23rd or 24th fret and been disappointed by its absence.

For me it would be a 60s SG Junior with a 59 neck, or a Kirk Douglas SG with a small pickguard, silver hardware ... and a 59 neck. Yeah, I like 59 necks.

Or maybe a Frank Zappa SG with pickup covers, black headstock and a 59 neck.
    Or all of them.
