    SG Baritone

No funds right now, and have too many guitars as is - including a baritone, which doesn't get played too often.
i just think those things scream cool

Can someone help me understand why Vibrola and Bigsby Trems are so popular when they aren't really that functional? Do they improve the tone? I know they add a certain look, but could that be the only reason?

You can upgrade a white 2013 SG Standard with a Vibramate plate and a Bigsby [IMG]

Welcome to ETSG HelenBooker! SGs have a wonderful effect on most of us...
Maybe you already know this. I actually already own my dream SG, here it is:
    Luna Body@100.jpg
It's a 2007 SG faded Special, heavily modifed, set up perfectly... this is still
the Queen of my music room. I have one other SG which I like very well, but
this one is my favorite. I bonded with this guitar as soon as I touched it in
the store, and I've never gotten over it. I named her Luna.

Depends on the style you play, I suppose. If you're going for wild modern shredder sort of thing, a Floyd Rose is probably your best bet. For old school, Brian Setzer/rockabilly sort of things, the Bigsby is it.

I always think in terms of ballpark-ing it, that is, narrowing down my options to what's the closest to what I want to accomplish to begin with. The Bigsby, with its apparent limitations, puts me right in that ball park. It gives you the right starting point to accomplish just what you're after.

I stopped "dreaming" when I slapped a Bigsby on this one a few months ago.

Had it for 9 years before I Bigsbyed it. Don't know what I was waiting for. The thought was always in the back of my mind.
Then, one day I saw one... here, on a Google search. It was a sick black SG with a B7 Bigsby. Then it was clear what I had to do.

Now it's as close to perfect for me as it gets.

I think my retinas burned out from all that light reflection.

Seriously, I really like the guitar. But my oh my, why did they photo it on a white background. Yikes.
