I'm looking for a few effect stompboxes which are not available in stores at all around my place.
I've went to all the big places, no luck.
A few are willing to order, but they can't guaranty speedy availability.
I'm willing to order online..... the slight problem is the %$#@ customs fees since every online music store I've found is in the US.
Although US prices are most times way lower than Canadian prices, you have to figure exchange (which is pretty good these days), expensive shipping, then customs, and you don't really win at the end.
Isn't there any decent online ordering located in Canada?
    Please, anyone???

    Wolfie,
I typically ship small packages as media mail as it is dirt cheap with USPS. I also lie on the forms to Canada, UK Etc to lower the VAT to almost nothing.
I've never had a problem yet!
    Am I a criminal?

Voxman, apart that they're located in Maine USA, I have no problem with that particular store.
But my problem would persist, once the item gets stuck at customs for a week or more (as is frequently the case now since all those stupid terrorist events) they will surely slap me with fees upon fees. Yes, they do open all packages coming in to Canada now, anyway they've opened all of mine over the past year.
I have absolutely nothing against buying from the US, I deal a lot with nice folks on eBay, I'm just a bit fed up of all those customs fees.
That's pretty much the only reason I was looking to purchase from a Canadian located web store.
Still, that $174.95 on the Deucetone Rat is one of the best prices I've seen so far for that particular item, thanks for the link.
I will email them about the availability of the silver dragon.

Spunky......... yes, you are a criminal.
But around here we translate that as "a wise friend from over the border".
Do you sell on eBay? heh heh heh.

I'm checking out the music123.com website now.
They have all I need. Prices are ok too.
And they ship to Canada..... a lot don't.
Anyone have any feedback on them?

i hear ya wolfzbane, customs does suck with fee's, and duty and so on. and my friend got a guitar from music123, worked out ok i think. also, i think www.americanmusical.com ships to canada because my friend ordered a guitar from there as well. shipping and customs fee's equaled to about 200$ i think.

Finally, for this time, I've went back to eBay..... and found everything I wanted there at reasonable prices and from highly rated sellers.
I'm trying to browse the americanmusical.com website, but it's presently extremely sloooowwwwwwwww loading.
