My 1961 LES Paul Guitar had one tuner replaced back in the mid 60's. Although it looks original, the word "deluxe" is not stamped on it and the plastic knob is slightly larger than the others. Since this is the only thing that is not completely original I would really appreciate some help in finding one.

I sent pictures of my guitar to CharlieB and I believe he is going to have them posted on the site.

However, if you would like to see my guitar, please send me an e-mail and I'll be glad to send you some pictures - It really is a great looking piece.

    Thanks again for the help!

    C'mon guys...

I'm asking on Bob's behalf, in light of that guitar he has... can we come up with some vintage parts dealers and help this man with his Holy quest?

Either that, or... some dealer someplace has one, or a set. The buttons need not even be present, as long as its the same tuner, same year, and in the same wonderful condition (except those buttons... but they go, can't be helped)

(Mods note: From a post in the Gibson SG section)

Try this guy cohibarandy@hotmail.com this guy shows old tuners in BOXES on his site. I can't remember what his site was called though.I'll look it up. He said he had a SET of double ring tuners for $225.00. It would be a great start anyways...

Worthy of a place of honor on this site Bob! It's like a stepped out of a time machine (to before I was born)!

Now why can't Gibson make one that looks that awesome now?

    I found his site! http://www.randysguitars.com/html/parts.html
