That's one gorgeous Junior. Love the tortoise shell against the blue. Happy NGD!

There's something about those LP Juniors... I love the minimalistic, no bs design with the wraparound bridge.

    Congrats and enjoy!

    Totally agree.
The minimalism about them is what I like most. The simplicity of a wraparound bridge is so perfect by design by eliminating the need for a separate bridge and tailpiece with string break angle and saddles to mess with.

Legend has it that since there is no neck pickup, sustain is improved because there is no magnetic field there, eliminating any string pull that may exist.

Congrats on the new purchase! The Les Paul Junior looks fantastic in Pelham Blue! I've always loved the Les Paul Junior for its elegant simplicity. Enjoy it and let us know how it sounds!

Great looking guitar. Hope you're playing the hell out of that thing!
My favourite style bridge as well.

Before 62' they had lightweight aluminum ones and after 61' they were " potmetal " which was a zinc alloy. After 61' they were also compensated. If the posts are slanted it took non compensated while the compensated ones had the 2 posts even across. The only reason to bring that up is the old ones passed thru so many hands by now that owners could of done anything to alter them, and, they do sound different, especially noticed, with the lack of ornamentation, bells and whistles, and a neck pup . When we were kids and classic rock started, what they call it now, I always said the Jr's had only one purpose, to cut the other players off at the knees! They usually did that too.

This guitar is crazy, more I play, more I love her. The sound is fantastic, perfect for blues and it become savage with more attack.
Never play a Junior, you will fall in love with her .

I have seen blank solid black truss rod covers for sale on the bay and reverb. The previous owner changed mine to "Junior". Even though it is not stock or "correct" I plan to leave it be as it does not bother me.

Below is the link to the Junior that I recently acquired.
