New old wiring

    Well, after playing my 2019 Standard 61 for a few months I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s just a little muddy or muffled sounding. Rather than swapping out the pick ups, I ordered a new pre-wired harness from Gunstreet. It’s described as 50s style which is supposed to be more to the treble side to add clarity. I also got the ‘phase’ option which when in middle position you pull the tone pot of the bridge pick up and it puts it out of phase. From the demos I’ve heard it adds another interesting tone option, and who doesn’t need more of those? Push it back in, and it’s back to normal. It’s cheaper than swapping pickups ($80.) and I get rid of the pcb.
