Never thought I would ever get one of these because the shape of the horns never really appealed to me and the funny thing is that I could not care less about the horns or bevels on an SG which is my favorite guitar. While an SG does look great aesthetically IMO, the ergonomics and upper fret access is what I have always liked about the SG.

Anyhow, I was looking around in a local shop and when I saw the translucent TV Yellow finish, fat 50's neck, single Dog Ear P-90, Wraparound bridge, upper fret access like an SG, I just had to try it out and it ended up following me home. Gotta love a flat slab of mahogany with a single P-90!

Wow, what a stunning guitar. Love the tortoise shell pick guards on Gibsons

    Thanks!
That's the other thing too, the tortoise shell on this one I actually like and for some reason do not care for them on other guitars. This guitar has opened my mind about a few things that I did not realize before.

    Thanks!

I am thinking that the single cut needs to go back. It’s a nice guitar, but too many guitars makes me nervous and I start to feel like a hoarder. The double cut is so much easier to play with the upper fret access and it has a few other things that I like about it better than the single cut.

I am also thinking my SG Standard Korina may need to go as well because too many similar guitars with same tunings and pickups are unnecessary for me.

Trying to not collect guitars and have as few as possible. To me they are tools. I only want to keep what gets played daily. The less guitars I have, the less time spent on maintenance and more time for playing.

It took getting three yellow guitars to arrive at the one yellow guitar that is the most ideal one for me to keep being the double cut Junior.

 Triple buys is just my OCD behavior kicking in. Sometimes I have to step back and be more self-aware of what I am doing to keep things in check.

Server has not been responding at times and I clicked the "Post Reply" button too many times when locked up creating double post by accident.

Headstock reads "TV MODEL" underneath the Les Paul script since the finish is TV Yellow. Other models that are not TV Yellow read "JUNIOR".

The "Junior" truss rod cover plate is not stock and was replaced by the previous owner. Original is blank, solid black.

To my surprise, I discovered that the P-90 was replaced with a Lindy Fralin hum-cancelling P-90 and it sounds fantastic to my ears. The Wraparound bridge was also replaced with a MojoAxe CWT-A (aged) Wraparound bridge and the guitar intonates perfectly up and down the entire neck. The original P-90 and bridge were included in the case when I purchased the guitar.
