    I musta gotten your SG confused with another fella in California who was getting one like it from a GC near me in Maryland around the same time as you got yours.

    When I replaced a vibrola on my old Epiphone Olympic I found that using the trem made the bridge move backwards! Not a huge amount but definite movement. Worth thinking about should you reinstate the unit.
