Well, I took delivery of my Gibson USA SG Standard in Pelham Blue. A beautiful guitar, and more importantly, it plays great!

I had a spare Cream Tone SG/Les Paul tenon cover lying around, so I already put that on. Same with reflector knobs. Dial pointers to come. The guitar sounds great with the 57 Classic humbuckers, so no change with those in the forseeable future.

Will get a few more photos up eventually, but this is a good start for now. Heavier than the SG Jr, but no neck dive. Very pleased with the purchase!

That looks like a very thick bridge!

Thanks! I had the camera at an odd angle so in person it is not at quite such an angle. It sounds great, but I will still get it set up.

Thanks! I really like that pickguard! Who made that and is it thick like the factory one?

Nice! I just had a bone nut put in mine. Id like to say I can definitely hear a difference but like in most cases when I change something with my guitar... I change the strings too. Anyway CONGRATS!

Thanks! And congrats on your mod! As it turns out, I took off the control panel cover tonight and found that the wiring assembly is the newer Gibson plug in set up. I thought the Standards received the old fashioned wiring set up, but I was wrong on that score.
