Anybody know about this? Specs? tried one?
Right, so, it's available, I know it's righthanded but it's in the sale and seems like great value - only $270 new. I've reserved it, and will try to buy it over the phone tomorrow (often difficult in Korea)...
I know nothing about the guitar, but hey, for that price, it can be a gift for the missus which I can try and play too? I can't find anything online about it...
Here are some pictures and spec:

I can't find any info for it online, maybe it's a Korean special?
Set neck, some binding and inlays, sounds good. I presume the top is a photo/veneer and the electronics will be crap, but looks like fun.
So what you have there is a short scale Strat. It's a little like the Epiphone Nighthawk, but with a different pickup set - and of course the Nighthawk is long scale. That looks like an interesting guitar.
Thanks, Don - any info thoughts are very welcome...
I have spoken to the shop and reserved it, for 140 Great British Pounds, gotta be worth it? I've been searching the net, Epiwiki, Epi out of production, etc, and cannot find anything at all about it. Tomorrow morning, I'll call them and pay for it, they said it'll be here by Friday lunchtime...
I don't understand how they can sell it for that price. That is a lot of guitar for the money. Let us know how it plays when you get it.
^ yep, will do - not sure I'll get the guitar, sounds too good to be true. Here's the link: http://www.schoolmusic.co.kr/Shop/index.php3?var=Good&Good_no=32106&version=pc
Trying to work out the codes... This is just a guess - I can't even clearly see the serial number.
U = Unsung, Korea
00 = made in 2000
03 = March
2067 = batch number
Does that say it is out of stock?
^ it does now because they only had 1 and the guy reserved it for me, but the shop was closing, so we couldn't do the transaction until tomorrow morning (on the phone).
I'm still not very confident of getting the guitar...
It might/must be a factory second or a return or lost in a warehouse or neck broken off and redone or something. I hope I get a chance to see and takes some photos for you lot.
oh hell no ,that thing just aint right. hell buy a nice Strat or a Les Paul with proper pickups
It looks pretty cool.
But as someone who often switches pickups when I play, that pickup switch is in a horrible location. However, if you're the kind of player who doesn't make frequent pickup changes, that may be a non-issue.
I mean, I realize they are probably trying to use the same cavity size and shape as the other models. But, the switch location alone would be a deal-breaker for me.
I agree with ya smitty, but I see a lot of guitars having the switch in that general area. Otherwise it's a very interesting guitar.
I briefly owned an SG with 3 single coils. Very interesting tones, but not at all Strat-like.
Could be interesting.
Reminds me of the song Half Breed by Cher.
Interracial child, neither race accepted her.
Doesn't GAS me up, hope its a winner for you though.
Cher ? Celine Dion's ancestor ?
This guitar looks like it's wincing.
What's the update on this?
Hmmm ... one of those for sale around here for $550 CAD. A bit expensive.
Re hmmm ... this looks to be the same guitar ! Look at the wood grain by the pup switch. Identical !
The one on sale now.
The one that started this thread
Dang, hard not to want to at least give it a go at that price point
I look at it and feel the same way about the 3 pickup tele. If I wanted a strat, I would buy a strat. I hope it's perfect for you. Me...? Oh hell no.
It's back on the market, seller wants to trade for Fender or Gretsch.
